Scientists from Mount Sinai have provided fresh insights into the involvement of DNA methylation in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). According to their study, DNA methylation has a significant influence on the co-expression networks of genes and proteins related to AD. Consequently, this could potentially uncover novel neuropathological processes and molecular mechanisms, ultimately resulting in the development of innovative therapeutic interventions for Alzheimer’s disease.
