Kim Kardashian Teams Up With Michael Rubin To Pay Restitution To Women On Probation & Parole

In collaboration with businessman and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, Kim Kardashian joined forces through Rubin’s REFORM Alliance to provide financial support to more than 50 mothers on Mother’s Day. The initiative aimed to alleviate the burden of restitution, fines, and fees imposed on these women trapped within the probation and parole system.

Kim Kardashian and Michael Rubin’s partnership under the REFORM Alliance marked a significant step towards freedom for women in the probation and parole system. Over 50 women from various states, including New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia, Los Angeles County, Florida, Virginia, and Illinois, were chosen as beneficiaries of this restitution payment effort. 

These women were granted a chance to break free from the supervision trap by relieving them of their financial obligations.

Danielle Davis’s Story

One of the women who received assistance through this collaboration was Danielle Davis, a resident of Philadelphia. In 2012, she was convicted of a non-violent offense, resulting in a 23-month parole term and three years of probation. 

Unfortunately, due to unpaid restitution, her probation was extended for an additional 23 months in 2017, accompanied by another three-year probation period. In 2022, her probation was extended for another three years to compound her struggles. With the help of Kim K, Rubin, and the REFORM Alliance, Davis could finally see a glimmer of hope.

Kim Kardashian Advocates For Gunna’s Release

In a separate legal endeavor, Kim K advocated for the release of Atlanta rapper Gunna, who had been incarcerated on RICO charges. Gunna later accepted a plea deal and was ultimately released in December 2022.

Meek Mill, Cordae & The REFORM Alliance’s Season of Giving

The REFORM Alliance, alongside rappers Meek Mill and Cordae, collaborated with the Brooklyn Nets in December 2022 to organize a charitable event. Children of incarcerated parents were treated to a tour of Barclays Center. 

They had the opportunity to watch a basketball game, fostering a sense of joy and belonging during the holiday season.

Jay-Z & Yo Gotti’s Documentary On Parchman Penitentiary

In another endeavor shedding light on the flaws within the criminal justice system, Jay-Z and Yo Gotti are set to release a documentary titled Exposing Parchman. This documentary aims to expose the humanitarian crisis within the notorious Parchman Penitentiary in Mississippi, raising awareness about inmates’ harsh conditions.
