Lenovo has added a new Slim 7 variant to its Yoga line-up, touted as slim, elegant, yet performance-forward thanks to a Ryzen 7000-driven OLED display and dual USB4 ports. Accordingly, the OEM touts it as capable of some photo-editing as well as video-conferencing with a ToF-augmented webcam. Then again, there are no discrete graphics for its new high-end screen.
The term “Yoga Slim 7” does not come with a Pro at the end in this 2023 product event; nevertheless, it still offers a 2944×1840 OLED display with 400 nits of brightness and Dolby Vision. Then again, its graphics consist solely of the AMD Radeon solution integrated into its Ryzen 7000-series platforms.
The “elegant” and patently entertainment/light work-focused new Yoga laptop also boasts “6x back to back speakers” with Dolby Atmos and a “Smart Amp” feature. It also has the IR+ToF webcam of its Pro 7/7i siblings with an electronic shutter, and a battery that, at 70 watt-hours (Whr), is larger than that of its Slim 6 counterpart.
The 14.5-inch PC also outdoes the 6 with a minimum height of 13.9mm, LPDDR5X RAM and dual USB4 ports with additional DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0 support on its left side. It is also the only new Yoga Slim with Tidal Teal as well as Misty Gray as a color option. Then again, Lenovo has yet to set a price for its latest OLED screen laptop on its August 2023 release.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
