Asus and the apparel brand Acronym assert that their new version of 2023’s ROG Flow Z13 is for creators and style icons as much as it is for gamers. Its heavy re-design adds a lot of extra metallic casing to the Core i9-13900H-powered 2-in-1’s back-plate and kick-stand. The Z13-ACRNM RMT02 is also now the PC’s highest-end SKU with RTX 4070 graphics, and can also act as its own bag at need.
Asus and Acronym have turned their collaborative attentions on the new ROG Flow Z13 in 2023, resulting in a new ACRONM RMT02 (or GZ301VIC-RMT02) variant that swaps the already-novel gaming convertible’s detachable 1-zone RGB keyboard for one with white back-lighting and some key-groups in new contrasting colors.
However, the special-edition treatment gets even more intense on the second-gen Z13’s tablet portion, swapping the normal ROG design for an external chassis replete with heat-sink-reminiscent milling and lots of angular bumpers.
They apparently exist for “Stabilized Grip“ and, in the case of the reinforced corners, to double as attachments for straps that can convert the PC into something like a cross between a shoulder-bag and a briefcase, or into “hands-free dream machine” mode optimized for stylus use on the go (literally).
The new casing also has a practical edge, housing liquid-metal-enhanced cooling that allows the ACRONM RMT02 to become the Z13’s new top-end configuration. It is the only one with RTX 4070 graphics, and with 16GB of RAM out of the box. Then again, those internals still drive the same 13.4-inch 165Hz Nebula Display.
All in all, the ROG Flow Z13-ACRNM RMT02 comes with mods so extreme and pronounced that they might raise suspicions of its being its OEM’s 2023 April Fool’s Day joke. However, it seems it will indeed become available for sale, albeit at a to-be-determined price. Then again, there are those for whom its looks – and the potential for power and versatility under that new hood – might prove a refreshing departure from the MacBook-toting crowd.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
