An under-the-sea blowout bash! Khloé Kardashian and ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s daughter, True, celebrated her 5th birthday with a special party on Saturday, April 1.
“Get ready with me, we’re going to True’s birthday party,” aunt Kylie Jenner said in a Saturday TikTok video with her daughter, Stormi. “Let’s go!”
After the Kylie Cosmetics mogul, 25, and Stormi, 5, got all glammed up, they headed to Kardashian’s mansion to celebrate True’s special day. Per the social media footage, the Good American designer, 38, decked out her front entrance with an array of rainbow balloons and streamers.
“You look cute,” Jenner gushed to her daughter in the clip, while holding her 13-month-old son, Aire. “Let’s go see the party!”
Inside the bash, guests were amazed by balloons that were designed to look like jellyfish and bubbles to match the under-the-sea party theme. True’s cake also matched the aesthetic, per a photo shared by aunt Kourtney Kardashian.
True’s besties, including her cousins, aunts, grandmother Kris Jenner and her mother — who also shares an 8-month-old son with Thompson — enjoyed eating the tiered cake, making slime and opening a piñata to discover candy treats.
Khloé and Thompson, who dated on and off between 2016 and 2021, first became parents in April 2018 when True was born. The pair’s son, who is the 32-year-old athlete’s fourth child, was born in July 2022 via surrogate after the pair’s final breakup following his paternity scandal. (Maralee Nichols sued Thompson for child support in December 2021, claiming he fathered her son, Theo. Thompson is also a father to son Prince, 6, whom he shares with ex Jordan Craig.)
Despite the Revenge Body alum and the Chicago Bulls star pulling the plug on their relationship, they remained committed to coparenting True and her baby brother. In fact, the Canada native gifted True a special diamond necklace for her 4th birthday last year and offered to cover Khloé’s party expenses.
“No, he is not taking care of the whole party. That is nice but I won’t let that happen,” the Strong Looks Better Naked author told Kris, 66, during a November 2022 episode of The Kardashians. “And I am so excited that I get to do it all by myself. That is very nice, but I won’t let him do that. I work really hard to do elaborate things for True, and I don’t need anyone’s help.”
