Xiaomi has now confirmed the imminent debut of its next-gen fitness tracker, the Xiaomi Band 8. The Band 8 will launch in China on April 18 as a direct successor to the Band 7, and will do so alongside the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi Pad 6 series.
Xiaomi is set to debut a slew of devices at its launch event in China. The flagship Xiaomi 13 Ultra will, of course, dominate the headlines and has now also been confirmed to be joined by the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. In addition, Xiaomi will present the Band 8 series at that event as well.
As confirmed on its official Weibo handle today, Xiaomi’s successor to the Band 7 is on the way. While there’s not much known about the Xiaomi Band 8 at this point, the published teaser image depicts the watch with an assortment of different straps, seemingly ranging from leather to metal. In addition, the Band 8 also appears to sport smaller bezels compared to the Xiaomi Band 7.
It’s unknown if Xiaomi will launch a Band 8 Pro to succeed the watch-esque Band 7 Pro that launched last year. So far, though, there are no rumors on the existence of a potential Xiaomi Band 8 Pro. The vanilla Band 8 will launch on April 18 in China, but may not arrive on the global market for a few months yet.
