Where to Watch ‘Warrior’ Season 3 (and What You Should Know)

Set in 1870s San Francisco during the Chinatown Tong Wars, Warrior is a martial arts crime drama that centers around Ah Sahm, a martial arts phenom from China who immigrates to the U.S. in search of his lost sister. After joining a Chinatown gang called Hop Wei, he eventually learns that his sister’s circumstances are more complicated than he thought, and he has to navigate a slew of gangs, corrupt cops, vigilantes, and politicians to try to help her.

Is Warrior based on the life of Bruce Lee?

Not really, but the concept for Warrior was conceived by Bruce Lee, who pitched it as a show about a Chinese martial artist exploring the American West. Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee’s daughter, continued trying to bring the show to life after her father died, eventually finding success in the present day, as it was first picked up by Cinemax, then canceled, and now continues on Max.

Wasn’t Warrior canceled?

Warrior is praised for its standout fight choreography and developed a pretty strong cult following during its early seasons. It wasn’t enough to save the show initially, though, as Cinemax cancelled it in 2020 after its second season. But Max picked up the show in 2021 and gave it new life with a third season.

Has Warrior been renewed for season 4?

There hasn’t been any news yet aboutWarrior being renewed for a fourth season, but with its cult following and new home on Max, it seems quite possible.

Where to stream Warrior

You won’t find it on Cinemax anymore—season three of Warrior is streaming exclusively on Max, which is where you can also catch up on previous seasons. The Roku Channel is also carrying Warrior at the moment, but only the first season; after that, you’ll need Max. If you’re a fan of martial arts dramas, it’s worth your time.
