Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is going to welcome a new addition to its family with the upcoming unveiling of Dolce by Wyndham Versailles – Domaine du Montcel. This 178-room establishment, set to open its doors in December 2023, offers a blend of history and contemporary luxury in the Yvelines region.
Formerly owned by the Oberkampf-Mallet family, the property that was restorized by 2BDM Architects, fuses its rich heritage with contemporary comforts. Notably, the iconic Toiles de Jouy print, originally crafted by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf in the 20th century, has been reintroduced in the guest rooms, evoking a regional tradition.
While steeped in history, Dolce by Wyndham Versailles – Domaine du Montcel is going to offer a wide range of modern amenities. The property boasts two restaurants, a modern bar with a terrace, a spa with a variety of services, a state-of-the-art conference center featuring 18 meeting rooms and a 550 sqm Baccarat ballroom.
Inside, the interior design has been curated by Ferry Interior Design (FID). Meanwhile, Frank Neau, a well-known landscape gardener, has been responsible for the exterior architecture and the 14-hectare garden that envelops the estate – a rare preservation of English garden tradition.
“Dolce by Wyndham Versailles – Domaine du Montcel is a fantastic representation of our Dolce by Wyndham brand, which is recognised as a leader in the groups and meetings space as well as for its superior cuisine and thoughtful amenities.
