Memphis rapper Big Scarr’s cause of death was a drug overdose of prescription pills. The “Fantasy” rapper’s uncle, Arthur Woods, claimed the rapper died at his girlfriend’s house before Christmas eve.

According to reports, Big Scarr, 22, died from an overdose of prescription pills. His uncle, Arthur Woods, told TMZ his nephew was at his girlfriend’s house in Memphis when he overdosed on prescription pills which caused his untimely death on Dec. 23, 2022.
Before his death, Scarr was known for the songs “Fantasy,” “Ballin In LA,” and several more in his career.
Drug overdose and intoxication have been a huge issue which caused many rappers to be gone too soon. SOHH compiled a short list of other rappers who died from drug overdoses under 30:
Lexii Alijai, 21
Twin Cities rapper Lexii Alijai, 21, died in 2020 while at the Loews Minneapolis Hotel from a mix of alcohol and fentanyl. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner report, Lexii died from the toxic combination of mixed toxicity from fentanyl and ethanol.
Juice WRLD, 21
Juice WRLD, 21, died from a drug overdose in 2019 after he had a seizure on a plane while en route to Chicago. WRLD was taking drug pills to hide them from the authorities.
Mac Miller, 26
Mac Miller, 26, died , in 2018, from an overdose of cocaine and fentanyl while at home. His dealer Ryan Michael Reavis received a 131-month or 10-year sentence for selling Miller the drugs that killed him.
Lil Peep, 21
Rapper Lil Peep, 21, in 2017 from an overdose of the drugs opioids and Xanax while on tour in Arizona.
Lil Keed’s mother Michelle Woods had to come and dispel rumors of his death being from the overuse of drugs. Recently, Lil Keed’s mother took to Instagram to clear the air.
