The ASUS VivoBook 16X is going for US$100 off on Newegg, resulting in the lowest price for the laptop compared to other competing retailers. In addition to standard specs like a speedy processor, the VivoBook 16X offers other nifty features like a keyboard that reportedly stops bacterial growth and a webcam that has a privacy shutter.
Unveiled in 2022, the ASUS VivoBook 16X has now dropped by 18% on Newegg bringing the final price to US$449.99. The notebook normally retails for around US$549.99 on the site. Fortunately, the discounted config is nothing to scoff at.
For the price, you will get a Ryzen 5 5600H Zen 3 CPU, 8 GB of DRR4 memory, 512 GB of PCIe 3 storage, and a 16-inch 16:10 WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution display with NanoEdge bezels. The VivoBook 16X can handle any day-to-day task with relative ease thanks to the efficient 6-core/12-thread Ryzen 5 5600H that has excellent multi-core performance as we found out in our testing of the chip.
Other notable specs include a backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader embedded in the trackpad, and Wi-Fi 6. The notebook also has plenty of ports with a single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, dual USB 2 ports, and a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack.
Put simply, if you want an affordable laptop with a big screen and plenty of performance, the VivoBook 16X at the currently slashed rate is an easy recommendation.
