Bad Bunny expands his interests in the sports business

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The urban music star Bad Bunnyenters as a partner of the new company Rimas Sports, a sports management agency for athletes to reach their full potential on and off the field.

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, the most listened to artist worldwide, is a businessman outside the music industry.

Now with Rim SportsBad Bunny enters into a partnership with Rimas Entertainment executives Noah Assad and Jonathan Miranda, who will serve as president, and who have already signed a strong roster of talent, including Major League Baseball players and prospects, company executives reported.

In this newly created company, Puerto Rican legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez will bring his experience as an ambassador for Rimas Sports. The legendary catcher played 21 seasons in the MLB and won 13 Gold Gloves.

“Our entry into the world of sports is due to our passion for developing and cultivating talent. We know what it takes to get a rising star to the top; now, we are ready to offer the same first-class services and a unique approach to clients in a new industry to help them achieve their goals,” said Jonathan Miranda, president of Rimas Sports.

For his part, the CEO and founder of Rimas Entertainment, Noah Assad, said that in the world of music they have “achieved success by knowing how to develop talent” and this new company “is an expansion of that mission, since our objective is to bring greater representation to the Latino community in the world of sports”.

Rimas Entertainment since its creation in 2014, is one of the competitors in the music industry with a list of artists that includes Bad Bunny, Eladio Carrión, Tommy Torres, Arcángel, Jowell & Randy, Mora, among others.

For Bad Bunny, his entry into the world of sports business is not new, since in 2021 the Cangrejeros de Santurce named him as their new co-owner in the National Superior Basketball (SBN) of Puerto Rico.

The urban music star also has a stake in Gekkō’, a “Japanese steakhouse”-style restaurant located in Miami where he allied with businessman David Grutman.

He has also collaborated with clothing brands such as: Jacquemus, Adidas and Crocs. He has also participated in streaming series, movies and wrestling shows.
