Jabra is now tipped to update its Elite series of TWS earbuds with new flagship and Active variants. They have reportedly leaked as the 10 and 8 Active respectively, and may launch as Made for iPhone- (MFi) and Hey Google-certified devices. The higher-end models might get the better ANC specs, while the Actives may be touted as the “world’s toughest earbuds” thanks to advanced ingress-protection ratings.
Jabra’s Elite 7 Actives were touted as the “best earbuds for running” on their debut, thanks to first-party ShakeGrip technology rated to keep them in place regardless of how intense a user’s activity gets. Now, their 8 Active successors are now slated to build on this reputation with improved IP68 ingress protection – in fact, according to new allegedly leaked snaps of their packaging, even their case will be IP54.
The “Jabra Elite 8 Actives” are also now believed to support Dolby Audio, and “Adaptive Hybrid” active noise cancellation (ANC) on their launch. However, they may be outdone by their impending flagship siblings, the Elite 10s, in this respect.
They are reportedly destined for “Jabra Advanced ANC”, not to mention Dolby Atmos. Then again, they will share official Google Fast Pair, MFi and Spotify Tap badges with their new Active counterparts. They may also have Jabra Comfort ear-tips.
Despite these freshly rumored upgrades, it seems both the Jabra Elite 10s and 8 Actives might be slightly lacking in terms of launch-day color options. The former are apparently pictured in black or gold-ish beige, whereas the latter are shown in black or navy blue, even though the Elite 7 Actives have more choices on Amazon.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
