NOMVDIC has announced the P1000 4K UHD projector for the US market. The device has been designed for gaming or watching movies at home. The projector delivers up to 2,300 ANSI lumens brightness thanks to an LED light source, expected to last up to 30,000 hours, with support for HDR10 and HLG formats.
The P1000 covers 125% of the Rec.709 color space and has a 0.65-in TI DMD chip for a higher contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1. You can use the gadget to produce images up to 150-in (~381 cm) wide with 1.2X optical zoom and a 0.68 to 0.83 throw ratio. Tools like autofocus, auto H/V keystone and four-corner adjustment help you quickly perfect the image. Other features include two built-in 6W Harman Kardon cube speakers, and, for gaming, NOMVDIC claims that the device has a 4.2 ms input lag for a 1080p@240Hz resolution.
It is worth noting that you cannot download apps directly to the device. Instead, you must connect a streaming device, laptop or flash drive. Ports on the projector include USB-A, USB-C and HDMI 2.0 ports, or you can connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You can easily transport the P1000 via its integrated carry handle, which collapses when not in use. You can now buy the NOMVDIC P1000 via Amazon for US$1,699. It is unclear whether or when the gadget could launch in other markets.
