Philips has started selling the 45B1U6900CH, a 44.5-inch VA monitor with a 1440p resolution and a 75 Hz refresh rate. The monitor also has various ports and a 5 MP webcam with Windows Hello certification.
Last week, Philips announced that it had started selling the 45B1U6900C, a curved and ultra-wide monitor that is available for £939.99 in the UK or €1,089 in the Eurozone. For some reason, the company decided against releasing the 45B1U6900CH simultaneously, despite revealing the pair in the same press release.
Now, Philips has confirmed that the 45B1U6900CH is available in the Eurozone and the UK. As expected, the 45B1U6900CH is more expensive than the 45B1U6900C. Specifically, the 45B1U6900CH retails for £1,029.99 in the UK and €1,139 in the Eurozone, including VAT. Hence, the price gap between the 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH is more in the UK than in the Eurozone. For reference, the 45B1U6900CH costs €50 more than the 45B1U6900C in the Eurozone but £90 more in the UK.
Fundamentally, the pair are the same monitor, with a 44.5-inch VA panel that runs at 1440p and 75 Hz in a 32:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, the 45B1U6900CH delivers 450 nits peak brightness and has numerous ports. In short, the 45B1U6900CH features a pop-up 5 MP webcam that supports Windows Hello and a noise-cancelling microphone but lacks the USB Type-B upstream port found in the 45B1U6900C.
