Reactional Music Group announced that it has raised $2.05 million in a pre-Series A funding round for its music platform.
The firm’s technology allows music to be brought into games and creates an immersive soundtrack for users.
Mobile music games publisher Amanotes and Butterfly Ventures led the funding round. In the round, angel investors such as ex-Mediatonic CEO and former Take Two CEO Kelly Sumner also participated.
“We are fortunate to have both Butterfly and Amanotes leading the round. Each of these organizations brings incredible value to Reactional as we drive the commercial and creative partnership between games, music, and creators,” said Reactional Music managing director Par Gunnars Risberg.
Most recently, Reactional’s engine was used for Neat Corporation’s virtual reality title Garden of the Sea, which launched for the PlayStation VR 2.
In addition, the music firm has done marketing and commercial work on franchises such as FIFA, Need for Speed, and Grand Theft Auto.
