Assassin’s Creed Mirage is officially a big hit for developers Ubisoft

The Assassin’s Creed franchise fans were exhausted by the enormous storylines and vast map areas in the last three epic titles of Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. They complained that Ubisoft had deviated from the true roots of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

In response, Ubisoft Bordeaux promised and subsequently delivered on the promises of creating a more stealth-focused title with a shorter but more intense gameplay. This culminated in the form of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, which was released on October 5th.

Ubisoft has revealed that the first week numbers for Assassin’s Creed Mirage are phenomenal, and the player counts are comparable to AC: Origins and Odyssey. AC Mirage has been a huge financial hit for the company. They confirmed that AC: Mirage is Ubisoft’s biggest New Gen Launch, considering only consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Ubisoft also released some interesting figures about Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the first week of gameplay. They revealed that players had spent an accumulated total of 479 collective years parkouring the rooftops of Baghdad.

A staggering 60 million Leap of Faiths have also been performed since AC: Mirage’s launch a week ago. A relatively wholesome detail was also included wherein Ubisoft mentioned that players have pet cats on the bustling streets of Baghdad 1.2 million times.

Thank you for trying to bring the game back to its roots. It is so much better for it.

This shows that fans are pleased with how Assassin’s Creed: Mirage turned out to be. Ubisoft Bordeaux delivered on all their promises, making a game that takes the Assassin’s Creed franchise truly back to its roots.

With revamped parkour, stealth, and enemy AI, franchise veterans compared Mirage to the older Assassin’s Creed titles like Brotherhood and Revelations, where stealth played a considerable role.

Fans expect a DLC to follow up on the enormous success of Mirage. However, Ubisoft has its hands full with ten other Assassin’s Creed Projects, including the VR title Nexus and the upcoming mobile game Assassin’s Creed: Jade.
