MTV Video Music Awards 2023: See the full list of winners and nominees

(CNN) — The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards are delivered this Tuesday and Nicki Minaj is the host of the ceremony, which takes place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift leads with a total of eight nominationsincluding artist of the year, video of the year and song of the year for his 2022 hit song “Anti-Hero.”

Beyoncé, Doja, Karol G, Minaj and Shakira join Swift in the artist of the year category. This is the first time since the category was introduced in 2017 that all of the nominees are women.

Demi Lovato, Shakira, Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B with Megan Thee Stallion, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Doja Cat and Fall Out Boy, among others, will also have shows during the ceremony.

Shakira received the Video Vanguard award and became the first Latin artist to obtain this recognition. She thanked her work team, her parents and her children Milan and for making her feel that “mom can do everything”. During her performance she performed classics such as “Hips Do n’t Lie”, “Whenever, Wherever ” and “She Wolf.” Additionally, Shakira sang some of her recent singles such as TQG, a collaboration with Karol G.
