James Clarkson discusses the June Crane story, June M. Kaba born June M. Crain on June 16, 1925, related her experiences as a young woman employed by the War Department at Wright Army Air Field from 1943 to 1952. She was there in 1947 when the Army Air Corps became the US Air Force. In 1997 when CNN told America not to bother with the 50th anniversary of the Roswell Crash, she called James Clarkson to tell him the Balloon and Dummy Story was a "damned lie" they had used before to explain away UFOs and to keep the public from being concerned.
While working as a secretary she was responsible for the security of extremely sensitive military technical information. She reveals that amongst the scientists and engineers it was common knowledge that UFOs had crashed and been recovered by the military three times before she left in 1953. Further, non-human bodies and wreckage had been brought to Wright Field. She may have had the rare experience of actually handling a piece of metal from a spacecraft, not of this world. In bringing this story to light I am fulfilling a promise to a dear friend that I made before she died on August 23, 1998.
