From the opening, a fully orchestral ‘Overture’, gently setting the mood before launching into full speed with ‘Devil’s Bargain’ – for the closing of ‘Wonderful Way To Go’, is an album full of reflections. Made with the Sinfonia Leipzigdirected by Cornelius Duranteand arranged by his old friend and guest violinist Shir-Ran Yinonis a unique take on the band plus orchestra approach, but clearly New Model Army.
Once again, the band that has made a career of existing outside the boundaries of the genre requires something tried and tested before, dismantling it and reassembling it in their image.
